An enormous two-stages challenge more achievable than the Plus race. Bikers will start in Artenara in the first day until El Garañón, and will continue on Sunday with 80 kilometers travelling around wonderful places of the island such as La Plata, Ansite or Arinaga.

The Two Stages will kick off at Artenara, where they will hook up with the Two Stages Plus tour. We will be exiting the village, and then we will be joining the track of Guardaya towards the cliffs of Chapín bordering the caldera. It is considered a sacred place in the pre-colonial world with archaeological remains of indigenous constructions on rock, such as the “Cuevas Caballero”where you will travel the way to the Cruz de Tejeda. . Finally, we will be reaching 1,600 metres at Corral de los Juncos, arriving laterto the facilities of El Garañón at Los Llanos de la Pez. The race will be stopped until the next day.
We will leave from Los Llanos de la Pezuntil arriving at Ayacata. From there, we will arrive at theneighbourhood of La Plata, where we will return to join with the participants of the ‘Plus’. At the crossroads of Cruz Grande, the change from the south to the east slope is easily identified. The runner will enter the ravine of Tirajana, along the forest track of Pilancones until La Manzanilla to get to the town of Santiago de Tunte. After a stretch along the road they will take the track of El Gallego to reach the reservoir of La Sorrueda, a fertile landscape of the south east of Gran Canaria that shelters a leafy palm grove in the foothills of the Fortaleza de Ansite, an emblematic settlement and pre-Hispanic sanctuary,continuing along the ravine to the Aldea Blanca.You only have to go through the last kilometres, filledwith low mountain vegetation, typical of the eastern slope of the island. You will be arriving at the town of Agüimes, where you can see the end of the route: the coast of this part of the island. This last section will be the descent to the mountain of Arinaga, where the event will end.
